Women’s industrial area in Swat soon

PESHAWAR: The NWFP government in collaboration with donor agencies will establish a Women Industrial Area in Swat, said Awami National Party (ANP) Working Committee Member Gul Mina Bilal Ahmed in a press statement on Sunday. She said a process would be started by the end of this month to send 500 skilled women of Malakand division abroad.

She said lists of skilled women had been prepared in this connection. She said the donor agencies would provide Rs 10,000 to Rs 75,000 aid to skilled women after their return to homeland so as to help them resume their profession. Mina said the provincial government was not only providing employment on merit to the youths of Malakand division and other areas, but also trying to impart vocational education to them.
