Tiktok influencer allegedly gang-raped in Jacobabad; one arrested, three suspects at large

On February 17, a Tiktok influencer reportedly subjected to gang rape by four men in Jacobabad, Sindh province. The case has been registered at the local police station, leading to the arrest of one suspect while three others remain at large.

According to the police report, on the afternoon of February 15, one of the accused contacted the victim’s husband, expressing a desire for his wife to create a TikTok video. Subsequently, the couple travelled to the suspect’s residence. Upon arrival, the husband was asked to stay outside on the pretext that only women were allowed inside.

Once inside, the victim found herself in the presence of four men. She was offered water and questioned about her involvement with TikTok, specifically being told that women from the Jakhrani tribe do not engage in such activities. Later, the men forcibly undressed her, recorded a video, and allegedly raped her in turns over a period of three hours.

The victim’s husband claimed the assault was punishment for her TikTok activities, with threats made to release the recorded video online if she continued.

A case has been filed under the charges of gang rape and unlawful recording. The Senior Superintendent of Police in Jacobabad, Muhammad Kaleem Malik, informed that one suspect, Akmal Wagho, has been arrested and a search is ongoing for the remaining suspects. Medical examinations have been conducted on the victim, and efforts to ensure justice are being prioritized.
