ATTOCK: An enraged person shot dead his wife and mother-in-law in Hattar village, police said on Saturday.
Mohammad Riaz reported to the Fatehjang police that his daughter, Erum Shaheen, married Mohammad Aslam, a resident of Hattar, a few years back. However, soon relations between the couple soured and his daughter returned to stay with her parents. In the meanwhile, she also filed a divorce suit with the court of law.
On Friday evening, Mr Aslam reached the house and opened fire on Erum. As her mother tried to rescue her, the accused also attacked her. As a result, Erum and her mother died on the spot. The accused escaped after committing the crime.
The Fatehjang police have registered a double murder case against the accused.
