KHAIRPUR: A deaf girl was criminally assaulted in Ghurri village of Kingri taluka on Saturday.

According to an FIR lodged with the Pir Jo Goth police by the brother of the victim, the 14-year-old girl was out side the village when Ali Mohammad Khaskheli alias Maddo forcibly took her to a desolated place and criminally assaulted her.

In another incident, the body of a 50-year-old woman, Sultana Bibi, was found at farmland near Dibi village of Gambat taluka on Saturday.

Her relatives said that she had died due to heatstroke.
