A woman was strangled to death by her husband over a dispute in the jurisdiction of the Orangi Town police on Sunday.
Khatija (30) was strangled to death in the Orangi Town police limits. According to the residents of Aligarh Colony, the deceased was the wife of Toor Jan, a vendor by profession, and used to sell electronic items which he transported from Quetta.
The deceased had no children.
The couple settled in the locality a few months back. They always quarreled with each other it was claimed.
On Sunday morning, they saw Toor Jan walking very fast and when area people asked him what had happened he refused to answer.
Later, when they went to his house they found Khatija lying dead on the floor.
The area police was informed who shifted the body to the hospital.
The police believed that the deceased was killed by her husband over some dispute. However, a case was registered and investigation is underway.
