Protection of woman’s rights top priority: Naek
ISLAMABAD: The Government accords high priority to protect rights of woman, who form nearly half of the countrys population, observed Chairman Senate, Farooq H. Naek. He was talking to Dr Fauzia Saeed, founding Director Aasha, a civil society organisation working for protection of the rights of working women.
The Chairman observed that efforts are also being made to bring women into the mainstream of national life to enable them to play their due role in overall development of the country.
He said that our women strata are endowed with immense potential and there is only a need to channelize the potential for constructive pursuits, he added. Dr Fauzia congratulated Farooq H. Naek on assuming the office of Chairman Senate saying that his services for the cause of democracy and civil liberties would always be remembered.
