JACOBABAD: A man killed his young wife when she insisted to stay for two more days at her parents house here on Tuesday.

Ruqayya Qureshi, 20, was staying at her father Manzoor Hussain Qureshi’s house. After one week, her husband Liaquat Lashari went to bring her, but when she insisted to live there for two days more, Liaquat took a knife and attacked at her throat and chest. She died on her way to the civil hospital Jacobabad.

Police handed over the body to relatives after a post-mortem.

Ruqayya’s brother Shahid Hussain lodged an FIR against Liaquat Lashari and two unknown persons with the civil line police on Tuesday.

Police raided LiaquatÂ’s house at ADC colony and arrested him.
