Minster takes notice of woman’s death in CHK
KARACHI, July 09 (PPI): Provincial Health Minister Dr Saghir Ahmed said Wednesday stern action would be taken against the doctors and paramedical staff, found guilty of negligence and carelessness in the government hospitals.
Talking to a delegation at his office here, the minister said he had taken strict notice of the death of a woman at the Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) on Tuesday due to alleged negligence of doctors and paramedical staff. An inquiry committee comprising two senior doctors has been formed to furnish a report within two days, he added.
The health minister said the departmental action would be taken against those medical employees nominated in FIR. It is responsibility of doctors and paramedical staff to save the lives of patients in the government hospitals by providing them better healthcare facilities.
If any patient dies due to negligence of doctors or paramedical staff, they would be responsible for it, he warned.
