OKARA: A man killed his newborn daughter by smashing her against the ground after a domestic dispute at Mirak village late on Sunday.
Reports said Muhammad Sharif and his wife Tasleem Bibi had frequent quarrels over domestic issues.
On Sunday night, Sharif left the house following yet another quarrel with his wife. After some time he returned to his house along with his three relatives – Khurshid Bibi, Maqsood Bibi and Shahbaz – and started thrashing Tasleem.
In a fit of rage, Sharif snatched his daughter from Tasleem and smashed her against the floor. The suckling died on the spot.
Later, a case was registered against the accused at Chuchak police station on the orders of Additional District and Session Judge Chaudhry Shafiqur Rehman.
