LARKANA: A man shot dead his niece and a young man in the village of Sharifani, 30 kilometres off here, on Saturday on the pretext of karo-kari.
Khuda Bakhsh Chandio shot dead Roshan Ali Chandio, 28, in a village street and later killed his unmarried niece Marvi, 18, who was busy in household work.
Police have arrested him and seized a gun from him. He has confessed to have committed the crime and labelled it as honour killing.
Our Nawabshah correspondent adds: Two men were killed in a clash near Bandhi.
Yasin Arain, 25, and Abbas Jatt, 35, were killed on the spot while Ashfaq Jatt and Abbas Jatt received serious injuries in an exchange of firing over trespassing in the village of Kandiari.
