MUZAFFARGARH: A seven-year-old girl student was injured when a landlord let loose his dogs on her over a minor issue in Beer Bund village, some 50 kms from here on Friday.
According to eyewitnesses, Kalsoom Bibi and Mehvish, landlord Faiz Bakhsh had forbidden their fellow Naseebo Qasim from passing through his fields. On the day of the incident, Naseebo ignored the warning and passed through his fields to save time. This infuriated Faiz and he allegedly unleashed his dogs on Naseebo, a student of class 2. As a result, she was injured. Naseebo was rushed to the Sher Sultan Rural Health Centre. When contacted, Dr Sajid Saeed of the RHC said that the condition of the victim was not serious and she would be discharged in two or three days. The police have registered a case under Section 289 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
