A woman was shot dead allegedly by her former husband in Ittehad Town on Wednesday.

Area SHO Zamir Ahmed said that Riaz Naseeb, 40, was gunned down by her ex-husband Mohammed Israr, 36, in Shanti Nagar.

The suspect was arrested and the murder weapon recovered.

The officer said the victim after the death of her first husband had married with the suspect. After separation, she married a third person.

The SHO said a monetary dispute was also being going on between the victim and the suspect. The body was taken to the Civil Hospital Karachi.
