Lawyers, teachers demand repatriation of Dr Aafia

ISLAMABAD (October 30 2008): Doctors, engineers, lawyers, teachers, civil and women rights activists of twin cities, their families and children arranged a protest demonstration on Wednesday in front of Jang Plaza, Blue Area, and demanded for the immediate repatriation of Dr Aafia Siddiqui to Pakistan from illegal detention of US government and recovery of all Missing Persons.

The demo was addressed by Yvonne Ridley, British Journalist, who converted to Islam after spending few days in captivity of Taliban in Afghanistan. Yvonne Ridley is the patron of Cage prisoners, international rights groups based in UK for release of Guantanamo Bay prisoners and recovery of missing persons kept in illegal custody in various secret prisons and safe houses world-wide.
