SWAT: The police on Wednesday arrested a man along with a son over the murder of his wife. The incident took place in Swat`s Rahimabad area on April 13.
The man initially tried to pass off the incident as an accident caused by electric shock.
The victim, 40, was found dead in the bathroom of her home.
However, based on suspicions raised by the victim`s brother, Abdul Salam, a detailed inquiry was launched.
Medical reports, statements from local authorities, and expert analysis confirmed that the woman`s death was a deliberate act of murder According to the findings, the victim`s husband, Noorul Haq, along with his son from a previous marriage, Umeedullah, conspired to kill her and then attempted to simulate burn marks to portray the murder as an accidental electrocution.
Following the confirmation of foul play, a formal case was registered against the accused.
