Girls induction in engineering must be encouraged, says Soomro

SWABI – Senate Chairman Muhammadian Soomro has said that we should encourage females to join engineering profession because they have the capabilities to arm themselves with its different disciplines and play their constructive role in the nation-building process.

He was addressing the concluding ceremony of International Parliamentary Debates at Ghulam Ishaq Khan (GIK) Institute of Engineering Sciences. Three Indian teams also participated in the competition.

Federal Minister Inter Provincial Coordination Salim Saifullah Khan also attended the ceremony as a guest of honour.

Appreciating the active participation of the females in the contest Soomro said, “The females have the potential to excel in different fields. Usually the girls clinched the top positions in both boards and universities examinations.
We have to equip our young generation with the latest technologies and skills so as to broaden the base of knowledge based economy.
