Four booked for alleged gang rape

TAXILA: Hassanabdal police have registered a case against four people for their alleged involvement in the gang rape of a 14-year-old boy in Mohalla Irshadnagar.

The boy was allegedly gang raped by four of his friends. The victim’s mother along with her son in the first investigation report (FIR) said her son was taken by his friend to his house, where he along with three others forcefully gang raped him and filmed it.

While quoting her son, she said the suspects threatened her son of dire consequences if he spoke about the incident with anyone.

Talking to the press, she urged regional police officers to take necessary departmental action against concerned officials for not registering the case for three days.

When contacted, spokesman of the district police Sub-Inspector Tahir Iqbal said a case was registered against the suspects under section 377 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) and they were subsequently sent behind bars. He said all four suspects are friends of the victim and are under the age of 15.
