During their stay Mushtaq, the husband of the deceased Bushra went on duty and just after an hour Bushra’s father Javed came to meet her and after having a cup of tea went inside the room along with Bushra and said that he had to talk to his daughter alone.

After the passage of a few minutes the volume of the TV was increased and no nobody’s voice could be heard from inside the room. They immediately informed Madadgar-15 and after 15 to 20 minutes the Jackson police came and after taking their statement took the body to the hospital for medical examination.

SHO Jackson, Tanveer, said that it was an old dispute running among the families. About four months back Bushra fled with Mushtaq presently her husband and the deceased’s father Javed came to the police station and registered a complaint of kidnapping of his daughter by Mushtaq. But after two weeks Javed withdrew the case and said that the issue was resolved in the presence of the elder family members.

SHO Tanveer maintained that about three months back Mushtaq and Bushra got married and were residing happily. During their wedlock it was not yet confirmed that either she was pregnant or not as they were waiting for the report of the Medico Legal Officer (MLO).

Regarding the crime scene the SHO said that accused Javed came and took her into the room where he increased the volume of the TV and later took a rope and strangled her to death. Deceased Bushra’s husband was working with a security company as a guard. A case was lodged on the complaint of the deceased’s husband Mushtaq against his father-in-law Javed. Mushtaq added that in the discussion of the elders his family also gave a girl for marriage in the family of accused Javed for the settlement of the issue. An interrogation is underway.
