Woman strangled, another stoned to death

Woman strangled, another stoned to death

A married woman was strangled to death by her father in Jackson police limits. In Baldia Town a mentally-impaired man stoned his wife to death over a dispute while a girl committed suicide in Pak Colony police jurisdiction.

The strangled dead body of Bushra, 22, was found from a house in Jackson police limits. According to her uncle Tasleem who was present in the house of the deceased Bushra situated in Gulshan-i-Sikanderabad said that he along with his wife came to meet Bushra at her house.

During their stay Mushtaq, the husband of the deceased Bushra went on duty and just after an hour Bushra’s father Javed came to meet her and after having a cup of tea went inside the room along with Bushra and said that he had to talk to his daughter alone.

After the passage of a few minutes the volume of the TV was increased and no nobody’s voice could be heard from inside the room. When almost half an hour had passed he went to open the door and found that Bushra was lying dead and her father had escaped. They immediately informed Madadgar-15 and after 15 to 20 minutes the Jackson police came and after taking their statement took the body to the hospital for medical examination.

SHO Jackson, Tanveer, said that it was an old dispute running among the families. About four months back Bushra fled with Mushtaq presently her husband and the deceased’s father Javed came to the police station and registered a complaint of kidnapping of his daughter by Mushtaq. But after two weeks Javed withdrew the case and said that the issue was resolved in the presence of the elder family members.

SHO Tanveer maintained that about three months back Mushtaq and Bushra got married and were residing happily. During their wedlock it was not yet confirmed that either she was pregnant or not as they were waiting for the report of the Medico Legal Officer (MLO).

Regarding the crime scene the SHO said that accused Javed came and took her into the room where he increased the volume of the TV and later took a rope and strangled her to death. Deceased Bushra’s husband was working with a security company as a guard. A case was lodged on the complaint of the deceased’s husband Mushtaq against his father-in-law Javed. Mushtaq added that in the discussion of the elders his family also gave a girl for marriage in the family of accused Javed for the settlement of the issue. An interrogation is underway.

STONED TO DEATH: Saima, 24, was stoned to death by her mentally-impaired husband in Baldia Town. Initially deceased Saima’s father Abdul Ghani when asked said that his daughter was divorced by her first husband due to some differences and during their wedlock she gave birth to a daughter which was kept by her husband.

Ghani said that for the past few months his elders of the family were continuously pressurising him to get his daughter married again as she was a young girl and later called one man, Gul Rehman, and said that he was a hard working man and we had told him about Saima’s past and he agreed to marry her.

Later he got his daughter married to Rehman. But after a few days he came to know that Rehman was continuously beating her and when he asked Rehman he denied and later shifted to another house situated in Swat Colony, Baldia Town four days back.

After the passage of four days when he received no call from his daughter he decided to visit her house and on reaching there found the door locked from the outside and he called the councillor of the area and in his presence broke the lock and found his daughter Saima’s dead body lying in her room who was stoned to death by her husband Mushtaq. The police have registered a case and the accused Mushtaq was at large and to change the investigation the police is claiming that the accused was mentally impaired.

SUICIDE: A married woman committed suicide in her house in Pak Colony while the deceased’s father claimed that his daughter was murdered by her husband.

The dead body of Sana, 22, was found from a house situated in Hasrat Mohani Colony, Pak Colony. Initially it was claimed that she committed suicide but later on the claim of the deceased’s father the investigation turned as he claimed that she was murdered by her husband.

Mohammed Nadeem, a resident of Korangi, said that he was the father of the deceased Sana. He said that about two years back he got his daughter married to Sharif, a resident of Hasrat Mohani Colony who was working with a private firm.

After a few months of his daughter’s marriage it came to his notice that her in-laws were mentally torturing her and her husband Sharif was beating daily over petty matters.

However, during their wedlock his daughter gave birth to a son who is five months old now. On Thursday morning it came to his notice that his daughter Sana committed suicide but he had a doubt that she was killed by her in-laws.

The police said that during their initial probe and according to the MLO’s entry it was found that it was a suicide but they cannot say anything till the post-mortem or chemical examination report came. However, a case was reported at the police station and investigation is underway.
