MUZAFFARGARH: A woman and her son were injured in an acid attack in Kotaddu’s Tibba Karbala locality late on Saturday.
The police said Nasreen Bibi with her daughter Naseem Bibi and her grandson was asleep in their house when suspect Asad Hayat with his two accomplices broke into the house and fled after throwing acid on the faces of Naseem and her son.
Their cries alerted the neighbour. The affected family contacted the Kot Addu police which registered a case under the Anti-Terrorism Act and other related sections of the Pakistan Penal Code. On Sunday, District Police Officer Tariq Willayat visited the crime scene.
The affected people are being treated at the Nishtar Hospital in Multan for treatment. The police arrested the three suspects. Nasreen Bibi told police that Asad tried to have an affair with her daughter and on her refusal, he attacked her.
