Woman says spouse, in-laws attempted to kill her
HYDERABAD: A mother of five accused on Friday her husband, father-in-law and mother-in-law of attempting to kill her by dousing her in acid a month ago but, she said, luckily she escaped unhurt.
Ghazala Abbasi who married to Mohammad Ali of Tando Allahyar eight years ago said at a news conference that after failing to kill her they pushed her out of their home and kept the children in confinement.
She said that she contacted a lawyer Roshan Sunder Chandio who was chairman of Mazloom Bachao Committee on Sept 8. He helped her file application in the sessions court free of cost, she said.
Tando Allahyar police raided the her in-laws’ home on the court orders and recovered from there her children who were found locked up in a room.
She said that her in-laws attacked the police party which conducted the raid, injuring a constable Sono Khan Zardari. Now her husband and his mother and father were threatening her of dire consequences, she said.
She said that she would file in the court an application for separation and demanded protection from her in-laws.
