FAISALABAD: A man shot and killed his wife four days after their marriage on Friday evening.
According to police officials, Dodgar Basti resident Muhammad Salam told police officials that his daughter Shumaila, 20, married Muhammad Javed four days ago and was shot because she wished to visit her parents after the wedding.
“All she did was seek permission to visit us over which the entire family had a huge fight. She called to tell us she wouldn’t be able to come but the next day she had been killed,” Salam said. Police officials said that Javed was already married and had three children and that the couple fought over his prior marriage.
Police officials have sent the body to Allied Hospital for an autopsy. Peoples Colony SHO has registered a case against the accused and is searching for his whereabouts.
