The relatives of Surraya Kahtoon held a protest at the Civil Hospital Road here on Friday for over three hours delay in conducting the postmortem examination by the Woman Medico-Legal Officer (WMLO) of the Chandka Medical College Hospital (CMCH). Sultan Kalhoro, brother of the deceased woman, said that his sister was murdered by her husband and the body had been kept since morning. He said that doctors had told him that the relevant woman medico-legal officer was on leave, another lady doctor had been asked and she would conduct the postmortem when she arrived but despite passage of over three hours nothing had been done which was unjust and highhandedness. He demanded immediate fulfillment of legal formalities so that final rites could be carried out.
