Woman found burned to death

LAHORE: A 25-year-old woman was found burned to death from a house in South Cantonment, police said on Wednesday.

Rawalpindi resident Nadia Bibi tied the knot with Waheed, a real estate agent, an year ago. The couple was residing in a rented house in Nishat Colony. Police have launched an investigation. Nadia was present alone at her house when she caught fire under mysterious circumstances. She was rushed to hospital by her neighbours where she succumbed to burns later.

SHOT DEAD: A 40-year-old man was found shot dead from the fields in Sundar, police said. Some passersby spotted the body, yet to be identified, lying in the fields near Sundran Wala village and contacted the police by phone. The body was moved to the morgue for autopsy. Police investigators say they believe unidentified killers shot the man in the chest and fled after throwing his body in the fields. Police have registered a murder case against unidentified killers and are investigating.

KILLED: Unidentified motorcyclists shot dead a father of four in Baghbanpura and fled from the scene, police said. Resident of Peer Road, Gulfam, 50, was traveling in a car along with his boss when unidentified motorcyclists intercepted them. The motorcyclists opened fire on the car-riders and fled away.

Gulfam sustained multiple bullet wounds and was rushed to a hospital, where she was pronounced as dead. The police removed the body to the morgue for autopsy.
