Woman bailed out in Hudood case

CHAKWAL, February 12 2006: Additional District and Sessions Judge Sohail Nasir granted bail to a woman of village Bhar Pur in Kallar Kahar police limits, who was facing a case under Hudood Ordinance.

According to the FIR, the police arrested Dil Khurram along with a Wapda lineman Abdul Rashid after the village people stormed her house. The judge observed that the police had misstated the facts being influenced by a union nazim.

The husband of the woman also filed a petition for registration of a case against the union nazim and others for trespassing on their house and beating them on the day of the alleged incident.

The judge while disposing of the petition directed that a private complaint against the accused be filed because the trespassing and mala-fide intention of the police stood proved.
