KHAIRPUR: Two women were killed in Shikarpur on the pretext of Karo-Kari and were buried without funeral rites. Reports said Halima and Waziran were tortured to death. DPO Shikarpur took a serious notice of the reports and registered FIR of double murder against Ali Nawaz Rind, the brother of the women and two others, including Ganthar and Maula Bakhsh.
The women were charged with having illicit relations with Daiwal Khan and Kalo Khan Kumbhrani. On Tuesday, bodies of both the women were exhumed and lady doctor Tanvir Akhtar conducted post-mortem examination.
In her report, she said both were strangulated to death after torture. The Sultan Kot police conducted raids for arresting the accused but no success was reported. The incident occurred in Sultan Kot four days ago, causing scare and panic.
