Two women go missing

LAHORE: Two women went missing in the provincial capital on Wednesday.

In Gujjarpura Police precincts, unidentified people kidnapped a student. Police say they launched a hunt for after registering a case. Reportedly, a woman was kidnapped from South Cant. Police booked Bashir, a resident of Nishat Colony and started investigation. A youth namely Junaid was kidnapped from Sabzazaar B block. Police registered FIR and started searching the culprits involved in the case.

Separately, an unidentified person was found dead in Township police limits. Police shifted the body to morgue for postmortem. Meanwhile, three other citizens were looted in Shafiaqabad and Bhatti Gate.
The pedestrians found them laying unconscious at roadside and shifted them to hospital.

Iqbal Town Police failed to arrest five accused allegedly involved in kidnapping a schoolteacher, number of girls and boys through social media and making their obscene videos to blackmail them for ransom, Ali Adnan, the victim schoolteacher told The Nation on Wednesday.

Ali Adnan, the victim, said that he ran from pillar to post to get justice of what the cruelties were done to him. He said when he approached the police officers concerned they did nothing except of making tall claims.

The complainant pleaded the authorities concerned to take notice of the negligence on the part of Iqbal Town police station. Ali Adnan said that the bails applications of court had also been rejected and the courts had declared them proclaimed offenders.
