Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abbas, a senior academic from the University of Sargodha's Department of Mathematics, has been recognised with the University-Level Best Teacher Award 2025 for his outstanding services in teaching and research.

The accolade was formally conferred by the Governor of Punjab and Chancellor of the University, Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, during the institution's 12th Convocation 2026. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas was also present at the ceremony.

Dr. Abbas was selected for the honour based on his exemplary teaching performance, unwavering dedication to student mentoring, and significant scholarly contributions.

His implementation of innovative instructional practices and a commitment to overall academic excellence were also cited as key factors in the university's decision.
