BAHAWALPUR, January 18, 2005:Yazman police arrested two of the three accused involved in the gang-rape case of a married woman here on January 17.

Victim ‘K’ of Chak 56/DB alleged that she was subjected to a gang rape by three accused – Ghulam Mustafa, Maqbool and Abdul Ghafoor – for the second time.

On January 16, she told police that earlier she had been raped by the three accused when she was residing in the area of Head Rajkan police station. The victim claimed that she had lodged an FIR with the police, from where the accused managed to get her case discharged by affixing her fake thumb impressions.

Due to the fear of accused, the victim asserted that she had changed her residence and shifted to Yazman area. To take revenge, she alleged that the three accused had abducted her from her house a few days ago, took her to some unknown place and gang-raped her.

Finding an opportunity, the victim said that she managed to escape from their illegal confinement and reported the matter to the police. At this, the police arrested Ghulam Mustafa and Abdul Ghafoor while their third accomplice was still at large.
