Punjab Chief Minister orders recovery of abducted sisters

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif has ordered police to recover two abducted girls within a week and hand them over to their parents.

A complainant, Muhammad Amin, a resident of Walton, met the chief minister at Model Town on Saturday and informed him that three months ago, his two daughters were abducted from his house who had not been recovered so far.

He told the chief minister that he was a labourer, and due to abduction of his daughters, his life had become miserable. He requested the chief minister for early recovery of his daughters. Issuing directions to the police officials concerned for the recovery of the abducted girls, the CM said the persons involved in this case should be taken to task.

He said the police should perform this task considering it as a challenge.

Shahbaz Sharif said that protection of life, property and honour of the people was the responsibility of police and no negligence would be tolerated in this regard.

Consoling the complainant, the chief minister assured him that his daughters would be recovered soon and the culprits would not escape punishment.
