Police asked to find missing girls in week

LAHORE: On the complaint of a citizen, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has directed police to recover two girls within a week.

A labourer, Muhammad Amin, met the chief minister at Model Town Saturday and told him that three months ago, his two daughters were abducted from his house and the police were dragging their feet over the matter.

Taking notice of the matter, Shahbaz ordered the police present on the occasion to recover the girls within a week and hand them over to their parents. He said that the persons involved in this case should be taken to task. Shahbaz said that protection of life, property and honour of the people is the responsibility of the police and no negligence would be tolerated.
