Islamabad, 26-Jan-2026 (PPI): President Asif Ali Zardari has embarked on a four-day official visit to the United Arab Emirates, commencing today, with high-stakes discussions on defence, security, and economic cooperation topping the agenda.

The President is accompanied by a high-level delegation for the state visit, which is scheduled to conclude on 29 January.

During his stay, President Zardari will hold top-level talks with the Emirati leadership to conduct a comprehensive review of the full spectrum of bilateral ties.

The discussions will focus particularly on strengthening the trade and economic partnership between the two nations, alongside collaboration in defence and security domains, a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed.

The agenda also includes a review of people-to-people connections, as well as deliberations on regional and international issues of mutual interest.

This high-level engagement, which follows a recent visit to Pakistan by the President of the UAE, reflects the deep fraternal relations between the two countries.

Officials stated the visit reaffirms a shared commitment to transforming the strong friendship into a more substantial and mutually rewarding partnership.
