Mother of four strangled by ‘lover’

Karachi: A widow was strangled at her house in Baloch Colony allegedly by her paramour, said the Orangi Town police on Tuesday.

The strangled body of 35-year-old Rukhsar Babar was discovered by her children at their house situated near Nishtar Basti.

After the children raised a hue and cry, the locals rushed to the house and saw the body, following which they informed the police. The deceased was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

The Orangi Town SHO said the victim was survived by four children, adding that her husband had fallen victim to target killing last year.

Police said the woman was dating Ghulam Muhammad, adding that the house where her body was found was rented by the couple two days ago. They suspect Muhammad’s involvement in the murder.
