KARACHI. The family of an infant girl, who died during an alleged police raid, protested outside the SSP
Korangi office along with the body of the girl. The residents of a slum near Bagh-e-Korangi claimed that
the police raided their area in the night and took some residents to the police stations. The police
registered false cases against them declaring them dacoits. During the raid, the police also tortured the
women as a result, one-month-old baby girl fell from her mother's lap and died, the family alleged and mentioned that the encroachment mafia was trying to take over the land they were living on with the
support of police.
