Man kills mother, relative over karo-kari

LARKANA: A man shot dead his mother and a close relative in Cattle Colony on Sunday after branding them karo-kari.

Mohammed Bakhsh Dahani and his friend Barakt Dahani killed Mundar Khatoon, 35, in her house and later shot dead Khadim Hussain Dahani who was sitting in a cabin near the house.

Barkat escaped but Mohammed Bakhsh was arrested.

Police removed the bodies to the mortuary of Chandka Medical College hospital for autopsy.

Ms Aalman, the mother of the deceased woman, told journalists that her daughter was innocent. She appealed for justice. Police said the deceased had four children.

In another incident, eight men shot dead a landlord Mumtaz Ali Jamali, 50, in the village of Koro Khan Jamali, 30 kilometers from here on Sunday.
