LAHORE: The injured brother of two deceased girls, who were shot dead along with their cousin inside their home on Saturday night, has confessed to killing his two sisters and cousin in the name of ‘honour’ on Sunday.
On Saturday night, a girl named Saba Habib, 14, along with her younger sister Munaza Habib, 13, and her cousin Muhammad Raffique were found dead with bullet injuries in their heads inside their residence located at Malik Park, Sherakot.
Malik Akram, brother of the deceased girls, told locals that four robbers had barged into their house and they murdered his sisters and cousin while shot and injured him as well. Locals initially with the help of police shifted Akram to Munshi Hospital for medical aid but later police investigators took Akram into their custody on suspicion.
Sources said that Akram in police custody confessed to killing his two sisters and cousin in the name of ‘honour’ over which police shifted him to the Sherakot police station for further interrogation. Sources said police investigators had also seized murder weapon on the information of Akram which he had buried in the roots of trees only a few yards away from his house.
Sources said policemen also seized some live bullets from the crime scene and from the custody of Akram that matched the shells of bullets used by Akram to kill his sisters and cousin.
