KARACHI: A man allegedly killed his mother by attacking her with a knife in Gulistan-e-Jauhar. According to the police, preliminary information reveals that the man is a psychiatric patient, but there was a property dispute as well.
The police were informed on Friday morning about the body of a lady lying in a flat in Heaven City apartments, in Block 17 of Gulistan-e-Jauhar.
The police and the rescue workers reached the spot and shifted the body to Jinnah Hospital. The deceased was identified as 75-year-old Hajira Kishwar wife of Jameel Ahmed.
The police arrested victim’s 50-year-old son Faiz. Police were informed that Faiz is a psychiatric patient and he has committed such acts before as well. A dispute over the ownership of the flat in which the mother and son were living was also going on.
