Man hacks ex-wife, her husband to death for contracting second marriage

A man killed his former wife and her husband in Badami Bagh area of Lahore after being resented by her second marriage, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

According to the police, the suspect, Zakir killed Samina (30) and her current husband Imran with the help of his son Yasir and four other accomplices.

Yasir, the son of Samina from her first husband, came to meet her late at night. When she opened the door, Yasir entered the house forcibly along with his father and his accomplices and hacked Samina and her husband Imran to death with a cleaver knife. The accused fled away after committing the crime.

The police registered a case against the accused and started conducting raids to arrest them.

Later, the police apprehended them with the help of Shafiqabad Muhafiz Force.

Shafiqabad Muhafiz Force stopped a carry van with two accused named Amir and Ali Raza for checking and recovered a pistol from the vehicle.

The officials detained the accused and took them to the police station for interrogation.

The accused confessed the murder when questioned about the recovery of the pistol,

The police, subsequently arrested four other accused from Kot Abdul Malik with the help of the two accused.

Zakir, Yasir, Ali and Javed are among the accused arrested from Kot Abdul Malik, said police.

The key accused, Yasir Hussain, told the police in a statement that his ex-wife entered into a second marriage with Imran following an elopement, which enraged him and led him to murder the two of them.

The police further revealed that all the arrested accused are the natives of Feroze Wattwan, a small town in the Sheikhupura district.

Besides, Zakir was also involved in the abduction of his friend’s daughter, Rubab (15), and Faiza Batul (11) along with his accomplices, added police.

He also kidnapped Mahim Noor (12), and Muniba (10), the deceased Imran’s daughters, who were later recovered.

The police shifted the bodies to the mortuary for legal proceedings.
