Kamal inaugurates education institutions for women

Karachi: City Nazim, Syed Mustafa Kamal, inaugurated the Girls Degree College, Women Vocational Centre, and Polytechnic Institute for Girls in North Nazimabad Block-N on Sunday.

Talking to the media, Kamal said that the Haq Parast leadership has provided women with educational and vocational training facilities near their homes. “Considering the problems faced by women in going to far off places for getting better technical and regular education, we have established quality educational and vocational training institutes within their own localities,” he said. “These projects, worth Rs176 million, will help reduce joblessness among local women, as after getting quality technical education, they would get better employment opportunities,” he added.

The Polytechnic Institute would offer diploma courses in telecommunication, information technology, and electronics, while the Degree College would provide education in arts and science subjects to more than 500 students. Kamal said that the buildings of these projects have been completed, and these institutes will start functioning within two months.
