Girls’ school, textile mill destroyed in Swat

SWAT (January 23 2009): Militants blew up another girls’ school and a textile mill on Thursday in different areas of restive Swat valley, sources said. According to details, girls’ school was blown up with explosive in Qambar area of Mingora while a textile mill was destroyed in Rahim Abad. On the other hand some face covered men shot dead a man in Kanjoo area.

The curfew imposed in the Charbagh has entered to 8th day and the trunk road is also closed for traffic flow. Sources said that security forces pounded the militant hideouts in the upper areas of Charbagh and Matta with heavy artilleries, however no casualties was reported.
