Girl from Okara seeks protection in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: A 17-year-old girl, who hails from the Okara district, Punjab, here on Saturday appealed to the higher authorities for providing protection and security to her because she was kidnapped one year ago.

Talking to newsmen in front of the Hyderabad Press Club, Saba said that she was kidnapped one year ago by a couple, whom she identified as Waseem and Najma, who forced her to work in the red light area of Lahore for a year and later brought her to Hyderabad for selling her at Sehwan Sharif during the Urs of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar. She said that she was tortured and kept in Hyderabad for seven days but she finally managed to escape.Separately, Muhammad Amin, the owner of an under-construction house in Latifabad died here on Saturday when the roof of his house caved in.
