Saddar police claimed to have arrested four young men from 18/11-L village, Chichawatni, for allegedly gang raping two girls, filming the assault and extorting money from the victims through blackmail.
According to the report, on July 16, two daughters of Shahida Parveen were on their way to the fields where they worked when they were intercepted by four armed suspects. The suspects allegedly took the girls to the maize fields, subjected them to gang rape and filmed the assault.
They later sent the rape videos to the victims and extorted Rs100,000 from them by threatening to upload the clips online.
As the suspects reportedly demanded Rs200,000 more from the girls, along with jewellery, they eventually disclosed the incident to their mother, who filed a complaint with the police.
Saddar police registered a case on the complaint filed by Shahida Parveen. Police confirmed that all four suspects have been arrested and have confessed to their crime.
