TOBA TEK SINGH: Shorkot Cantonment police on Wednesday booked a man, his wife and their
daughter for withdrawing their earlier court statements in a rape attempt case.
Sub-Inspector Bagh Ali said in the FIR, registered under sections 22-2(a) and (b) of the Anti-Rape
(Investigation and Trial) Act, that Muhammad Naeem of Chak 1-Gagh had lodged a complaint in October
2024, accusing Munawar Nazar of attempting to rape his daughter (name withheld). The victim`s mother, Haleema Bibi, was a witness.

However, all three later told the district and sessions court that they had nominated Munawar based on
suspicion and that he was not the actual culprit. As a result, he was granted bail. Police arrested Naeem.
