ARIFWALA: A couple was murdered for contracting the marriage of their choice at Ammar village on Tuesday. Muhammad Yar Bhatti, 22, was in love with Abida, 20, and both married a month ago. Later, they shifted to Faisalabad in fear of revenge from the families. Ibrahim Joyia, father of Abida, brought them back on the promise that he would arrange a function accordingly to the family tradition. However, the girl’s family shot both of them dead. The Qaboola police have registered a case on the complaint of Waqas, brother of the groom.
