Islamabad, 27-Jan-2026 (PPI): Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, has initiated a comprehensive overhaul of the federal capital's security apparatus and traffic management systems, following a series of high-level meetings aimed at bolstering public safety and operational efficiency.

The strategic deliberations were held at the Central Police Office, bringing together senior officials from the capital's police force. Attendees included the DIG Headquarters, DG Safe City, AIG Special Branch, and the heads of the Security and Operations divisions, among other key personnel.

During the assembly, specific directives were issued to significantly upgrade the security situation across the federal capital. A primary focus was placed on enhancing intelligence coordination among various departments and reinforcing existing safety arrangements to better protect citizens.

The agenda also included an in-depth review of traffic management within the city. Discussions centred on the effective implementation of traffic laws, the introduction of new reforms for public convenience, and the formulation of a comprehensive plan to ensure a safe, organised, and fluid traffic system.

The series of meetings underscores a concerted effort by the police leadership to proactively address operational performance and elevate public safety standards throughout the capital.
