Bail of teenage girl’s suspected abductor confirmed“

Karachi: Additional District and Sessions Judge (East) Nadim Ahmed Khan on Monday confirmed the bail plea of an alleged kidnapper of an 18-year-old girl.

Malik Hassam, a resident of Metroville Society and father of the teenage girl, Sheeza, alleged that his daughter was kidnapped by Nazuk Hussain a few days back when she was returning home after meeting her relatives.

Later, the accused approached court and expressed his apprehension that he would be arrested. He also accused Hassam of trying to implicate him in a false kidnapping case. He prayed to the court to grant him interim bail. The court accepted his request and granted him interim bail. On Monday, the judge confirmed his bail on his request.

Meanwhile, the judicial magistrate (central) granted bail to two men, Nazir Hussain and Muqadas Hussain, for a sum of Rs1, 200,000 each in a road accident case.The two are alleged to have killed a passer-by when their cars collided head-on.

The counsel for the accused, Abid Hussain and Farhan Khaliq, argued that both the men had not committed any killings and it was an accidental death of a citizen. Considering the arguments of the counsel, the court granted the bail to both the men.Deaths in hit-and-runs are on the rise in the city, where hardly a day passes without such accidents.
