A woman burnt herself after her husband told her that he was getting married again. Robina, 27, burnt herself alive in Saeedabad police limits. The police said that they received information that a burnt dead body of a woman was lying in a house situated near Bismillah Chowk, Sector-4H, in the restroom of the house.

The patrolling staff moved to the spot and recovered the body. The deceased’s brother who was present at the spot said that his sister got married with Dilshad who belonged to Azad Kashmir about 13 years ago and during their wedlock she gave birth to Shumaila, 11, and son Amir, 7. Dilshad was working with a private loom firm as a labourer.

A few weeks back a dispute occurred between Dilshad and deceased Robina when Dilshad said that he was marrying again on which the deceased got disheartened and on Saturday Dilshad went to Azad Kashmir and in his absence on Monday she locked herself in a rest room and poured petrol on her body and set herself ablaze and died on the spot. The police have conducted an inquiry under sec 174 Cr PC and handed over the body to the heirs of the deceased.

ARRESTS: The staff of Lyari Town police conducted a raid near Al-Jamil Hotel, in the Kalakot police limits and after an encounter held two accomplices of Rehman Dakait identified as Manzoor Shah and Sajid Hussain with two TT pistols and stolen property.

The accomplices were wanted by the police in extortion and dacoity cases and several cases were registered against the suspects at Kalri, Chakiwara, Baghdadi and Kalakot police stations.
