Woman accuses ASI of raping her on gunpoint

RAWALPINDI -A woman has lodged a complaint with Regional Police Officer (RPO) in which she accused a police officer of raping her on gunpoint, recording her obscene videos and preparing a bogus marriage certificate to hide his sin, informed sources on Friday.  The complainant pleaded for a rape case against the cop. She also demanded legal action against the witnesses mentioned in the fake marriage certificate, they said. The regional police chief has ordered a thorough inquiry into allegations levelled by a woman against the cop, they added. According to sources, a woman namely Asma Bibi daughter of Sabaz Hussain Shah, resident of Basti Lalazar II Wah Cantt, tabled an application before RPO Imran Ahmer stating Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Taskin Shah, who is posted in Police Station (PS) Fateh Jhang, had raped her repeatedly on gunpoint. She alleged the cop recorded his sinful acts and started blackmailing her. The lady added she lodged complaint with Police Picket Number 3 Wah Cantt against him and the inquiry was assigned to police officer namely Saeed Kiyani. “ASI Taskin Shah has produced a bogus marriage certificate before investigation officer in order to save his skin from legal action. Neither did I sign on marriage certificate nor contracted marriage with ASI Taskin Shah,” she told RPO.

The victim lady said the police officer and his accomplices are putting pressure on her not to knock the door of police or else they will kill her.

Asma Bibi requested the RPO to launch an inquiry into the matter and to register rape case against the cop besides taking legal action against his accomplices who helped him in preparing bogus marriage certificate.

The RPO accepted the application for further legal action and an inquiry has been launched into the allegation, informed sources.

When contacted, a spokesman to RPO confirmed that the victim lady had tabled an application against ASI while accusing him of raping her. He added RPO referred the matter to CPO Rawalpindi for further investigation.
