A cleric allegedly harassed one of his girl students here on Sunday in Rasulpur locality of Hujra Shah Muqeem.

As per first information report, a seven-year-old girl went to the mosque for routine Quran learning on Sunday and returned home late.

The girl told her mother that her teacher sexually harassed her. The girl’s father visited the mosque and found it locked.

Later, the police reached the spot and registered a case under section 376 of Pakistan Penal Code.

Raids are under way to arrest the suspect.
