A 22-year-old youth electrocuted his mother after feeding her toxic pills in the name of honour and buried her in the courtyard of their house in the Midh Ranjha area.

Mumtaz Bibi was allegedly poisoned and electrocuted by her son Ali Hassan.

Police recovered the body, shifted it to the hospital for postmortem and arrested the suspect. A case was registered against him.

District Police Officer Asjad Malhi said that the case would be prosecuted in the court of law to provide justice to the deceased.
