KARACHI: A seminar will be held at the University of Karachi on Saturday in connection with the International Women’s Day.
Prof Nasreen Aslam Shah, Director of the Centre of Excellence for Women Studies, announced on Thursday that the seminar on “The self-employed women and their families – experiences from the towns of Karachi” will be presided over by the KU Vice-Chancellor Prof Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddi- qui.
Sindh Minister for Women Development Tauqeer Fatima Bhutto and provincial Minister for Industries Rauf Siddiqui would be the chief guests.
Some self-employed women will demonstrate their skills in khaddi blending, carpet weaving, stitching, bangles making, ralli making, etc.
